These pups are turning out to be a wonderful blend of their parents. Very smart, problem-solving, sweet, drivey, playful pups with a huge work ethic as well as very nice off switches with a nice dose of cuddly. They all thrive on learning and have been great additions to their families who have high hopes for them. This cross produced quite a bit of eye, intensity, and biddability. Universally, they all have great aussie reserve- especially when it comes to work. That's when the rest of the world falls away and only their people and the task at hand matters. They've got mental endurance, focus and great senses of humor. They all have great dog-dog skills.
I'm very pleased with these pups as they were exactly what I was hoping for. I'm excited to see what the future holds for each and every pup.

OAJ NA SS SR SSA JS-O RS-N Khyan is a sweet, nurturing girl with a goofy side. A little soft but very intelligent, learns quickly and is very biddable. With strangers and other dogs, she has ideal reserve - doesn't acknowledge them until she’s been given the ‘okay’ and then is social, patient, and tolerant. She is neither shy nor aggressive. She is appropriate and accommodating to all dogs and their quirks and/or play styles. Khyan doesn't hold grudges, forgives easily (dogs, people and training mistakes), removes herself from stressful situations, and is non-confrontational without being meek. Khyan shows great promise in agility, and has just begun in her trialing career. Khyan shows interest and instinct on stock with limited exposure. She uses a lot of eye and is most eager to work cattle. Khyan is not a ‘busy’ dog.
She has a natural off switch, and is ready to go at a moment’s notice. |
ATCH Vaquero's Jim Beam of Redwood
MAD TM SAM SM RM AX AXJ OF RE CD Jim Beam has matured into such a nice boy. At 4 years old, Naomi and Beam have found their groove in the agility ring. Beam has become a strong competitor in the 22" class, and what he lacks in ground speed, he makes up in his ability to navigate technical courses with a fantastic and natural jumping style. Beam earned his AKC Rally Excellent title in just 9 showings and is currently training towards his ASCA ODX. Beam shows much interest in sheep and has done well in his few exposures. Beam descends from some amazing stock dogs - sire WTCH Spin has successfully competed in multiple finals and dam Gen is just 1 cattle leg from her WTCH. Beam has an excellent temperament around people and dogs, is biddable, and has an excellent natural off-switch.
