TEMPERAMENT
Yara has grown up to be everything her pedigree says she should be. Incredibly smart, agile, loving/cuddly, tons and tons of stock savvy, strong heading dog, nice sense of group and square flanks. She really is up for anything. She will bark at visitors before mushing into them for cuddles, she connects with strangers but she's clearly my dog. More often than not, she seems to be telepathic. Thinking a cue "too loudly" seems to be enough to cause that behavior (as a dog trainer, I don't say that lightly, I don't have to be in sight). I'm excited for our future to "prove" what I already see/know in her. She's been exactly who she is since the day she was born. 9months old: Yara is the result of an unplanned litter between Gambler's dam and Khyan's sire and she's everything I love about both of them and yet all herself. She's as sweet as you can get, enthusiastic about all she does, happy in any situations, cuddly, waggily, and I couldn't be more in love with this puppy if I tried. She's been exposed to stock and is going to be a FUN dog. Fearless, bold, somewhat thoughtful, shows some intense eye, and is just a cool puppy. She is missing a middle weight-bearing toe on her back foot from an overzealous umbilical cord removal at birth (by mom), so we'll see how her sports careers may progress but as of now, it hasn't slowed her down. She's pretty sure the lack of toe makes her more aerodynamic so she can go fastfastfast. |
